With the easing of restrictions on the hopeful horizon we have taken the opportunity to complete a number of tasks on and in the caravan, so that its already for our trips away.
Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
We have recently purchased a Vax Carpet Cleaner as we felt we had a number of uses for it around the house and obviously the caravan. Since completing the washroom renovation in February the front end of the van was overdue a deep clean, so we used the upholstery cleaner on all of the cushions. Then the main cleaner on the carpet. The whole caravan now smells so fresh.

Worktop Painting
Since purchasing the caravan we have wanted to repaint the edging of the worktops as they had become scratched and marked over the years. We had looked at a variety of different colours and paints fortis project and found the B&Q Goodhome Furniture Paint. This comes in a variety of different colours and paint effects, the one that we chose has an opulent effect and covered the previous paint/varnish.

External 12v and TV point
For Christmas we were brought the Dometic Gale Electric Pump for our Kampa Air Awning. This is a 12 volt appliance to save having to pull the car up close to usethe pump weha installed a external 12volt point. This also has a coax TV point that we have connected to the van to allow us to connect to external ariels provided at a number of sites.

Cleaning

Having sat at the storage yard for several months the van was definitely due a clean. We picked up some of the Power Force Caravan Cleaner from Aldi. Check out our review here.
Testing out new assessories

In preparation for our first trips away we have set ourselves up to use service pitches on sites. We have purchased the the Colapz Fresh Mini, Flexi Waste Pipes and the Flexi Waste Pipe Adaptor. To see how they work we set them up on our drive and initial usage shows they are great. After we have used them more fully on sites we will be able to write a product review.
