After the Government announcement that campsites were permitted to reopen as of the 12th April without facilities we rushed at the chance to book our first time away in the caravan for 2021. As sites could not use shared facilities we took the decision to buy products to allow us to use service pitches on sites. Our water carrier does not have the means of allowing a mains water inlet we felt the Colapz Fresh Mini kit would be a great solution.

Colapz Fresh Mini Full Set includes the new water level control value (with anti-vibration feature and high flow rate). 7.5 metres of food grade hosepipe with connectors. 8L collapsible vessel. Cap to convert vessel into a bucket and separate tap, so that it can be used as a water dispenser. This kit also comes with two storage bags, one for the vessel and one for the hosepipe.

To keep the Fresh Mini off of the floor and provide a stable base we got one of the Folding Stands. This is designed the fit the vessel as well as the Colapz 2in1.

Colapz Extendable Waste Pipes are great for use on service pitches. The kit that we purchased includes 4 x 1metre length pipes. When collapsed each pipe is 50cm long but can extend to 1metre. Like most products from Colapz these come with a handy bag and even a silicone brush fitted with a chain to clean inside each pipe after use.

As part of our order we also selected the Colapz Flexi Waste Rock Pegs. These come in a set of 10 and are super strong, they are great to alter the height and position of the flexo water pipes. Again these came with a storage bag, as these are a heavier item with a sharp point the bag is of a thicker material than the other bags.
The waste connector that came with our caravan is a homemade creation using various plastic pipe connectors, we saw the Colapz Flexi Waste Double Adapter and though this would take up a lot less room and payload.

When we aren’t staying on a serviced pitch we obviously use an aqua roll for fresh water. To fill this we did use a fill pipe that we found cheap at a caravan shop, however after seeing the Flexi Pipe Trunk Kit we knew this needed to be added to the shopping list! The handy silicone trunk will mean we can fill up from any tap.

The storage bags provided with most of the products are all very hand to keep all of the parts together and also protects the products from bumps, however all of the items are very well designed and the materials are all very rugged.
We tested out most of our new Colapz products on our recent visit to Somers Wood Caravan Park. The serviced pitch we had on the site had its own fresh water tap and grey waste drain. We were able to quickly set up the Fresh Mini and put our Whale water pump into it. The flow of the water into the Fresh Mini was able to keep up well with the flow into the van required by the pump.
Colapz have recently updated the float switch set up in the Mini which worked very well and prevent the whole unit from shaking which we had seen was evident in some YouTube reviews.

We didn’t use the rock pegs or the flexi trunk on our recent trip but plan to use them on our next time away in the caravan.
It is very clear to see that all of the colapz Products have had a great deal of thought put into them and have been made to a high standard. Overall we are really pleased with all of these purchases and will be keeping our eyes peeled for new products from this company.
