Our Stay
We stayed at Moreton In Marsh during the second part of our Summer holiday in August 2021
Location / Access
Located just off the A44, the Moreton in Marsh site is easily assessable by all vehicles. There is a large arrivals area to accommodate many new arrivals to the site. When we arrived there was around 5 other units waiting to check in.
The Site
The site is made up of two sides, upon entering through the security barrier you follow the road through the park either turning right or left at the end of the first row of pitches. Both areas of the park have full facilities blocks. The left area is also where the children’s play area is located and the Experience Freedom pods, tents and lodges.

Most pitches are narrower than those we have experienced at other CAMC sites, this means that cars are normally parked in front of the unit. In most areas of the site this does not impact other units passing by.

As this site is located on the site of the A44 there is a substantial amount of road noise if you are pitched on pitches 70 to 78 and 107 to 116. If possible aim to pitch area away from these areas (however other parts of the park are very popular).
In the area
Moreton-in-Marsh is located within the Cotswolds, this is an area of outstanding natural beauty with many quaint towns and villages. Moreton is one of these, with its stone buildings, the town has a weekly market as well as a range of local shops selling food, drink and artisan goods. Just down the road from the club site is Batsford Arboretum (discount available for CAMC members). During our visit we visited Bourton-on-the-Water a short drive from the site, this is a beautiful setting with its river following through the village, there are a couple of attractions within the village including a Motor Museum and a Model Railway. Broadway is another lovely place to visit while in the area, there are a number of boutique shops and places to eat. You could combine this with a ride on the Gloustershire and Warwickshire Railway as its terminating station is on the end of the village.

Hi all. Nice to hear your news about the site and wondered if you could put some pictures of the local attractions you me tioned. Would it also be possible to take some photos of the things to look for prior to seeing the site entrance as we sometimes drive past by mistake. By the way what satellite system do you use for planning the journey we have had problems in the past with postcode entry as not all sites give the address with a house number. Many thanks for your help and advice though your blog saved us a lot of time and money keep it up and happy towing.
