Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, is located near Woodstock in Oxfordshire (approx 30 minutes from Oxford). Built around 1720 this is one of Britain’s largest houses and this is certainly no overstatement!

Blenheim Palace

The Blenheim Palace Estate is vast, and you would struggle to visit all of it in one day. From the formal gardens close to the house, there are then lakes and woodlands. A short walk through the grounds leads to the large walled garden, which includes the Marlborough yew tree maze.

We have been gifted an annual pass so can visit the estate as many time as we want to over the next 12 months.

On this visit, we walked around the palace and grounds near to the house. However, the next time, we plan to go around the wider estate.
