The model village in Godshill on the Isle of Wight is a fantastic attraction for anyone visiting the island, whatever the weather. We visited during August 2023. Unfortunately the weather during our stay in the area was not great but this didn’t stop us!

The model village has been created in the gardens of the Old Vicarage to represent Godshill and Shanklin. Work started in the 1950’s and the real buildings have been accurately recreated as if frozen in time.

A number of rain shelters have been created around the garden, so if you happen to get caught out by the weather, don’t worry.
