End of 2023

As we come to the end of 2023, we thought it would be a good time to look back at what we have done this year, the trips and adventures we have had.

In January, we finally took delivery of our new Elddis Affinity 550 caravan, having been waiting for 15 months. We wasted no time and headed to Ashridge Farm Club Site to try out all of the new features of the caravan.

Our next trip was to The Sandringham Estate Club Site in February, where we took Meg (our Cockapoo) with us. We really enjoyed our stay and the walk from the site to the house. We have booked this site again for February 2024. At the end of the month, we stayed at Kings Meadow Marina as we visited the NEC Camping, Caravan, and Motorhome Show.

March didn’t see us hitting the road due to work and other commitments, our next time away was during the Easter break, we visited Carsington Water Club Campsite in Derbyshire and then Spring Paddock CL -Cannock Chase.

For the May Day Bank holiday, we stayed at Wagtail Country Park and then Harbury Fields Farm Caravan Park for the start of the half term holidays at the end of May.

Our summer trip was in two parts. Firstly, we headed down south to Southland Club Site on the Isle of Wight and then the Centenary Club Site in the New Forest. A few weeks later, we then hitched up the caravan again and travelled to North Wales to the newly refurbished Coed Y Llwyn Club Site.

September is a very busy time for both of us at work, so our next trip was to Shropshire via Birmingham for the October NEC Caravan and Motorhome Show. We stayed at Chapel Lane Club Site while attending the show and then moved on to Stanmore Hall Touring Park before returning to Spring Paddock CL as we were doing some training in the area.

During 2023 we have spend 48 nights away in the caravan and stayed at 12 different sites.

We really are looking forward to what adventures 2024 will bring. Two sites are already booked, and we are going international for our Easter holiday!
