We are Michael and Tom, creators of TwoGoTowing. This blog was started after the purchase of our caravan in July 2020. We wanted to share our adventures with a wider audience. We both work hard for our careers in education and the NHS so when it comes to holidays and short breaks we love to make the most of them. Both keen DIYers, we completed a number of projects on our previous caravan prior to selling it. We have recently taken delivery of our new caravan and look forward to many future adventures.

  We go on our first holiday together in a small tent to Derbyshire, for most of the week away it rained and we spent a lot of time researching larger tents!

• August 2014

  Having brought a bigger tent we joined the Camping and Caravanning Club. We went on holiday to South Devon staying at the CCC Dartmouth Site. While on holiday we joined the National Trust.

  We purchase our first caravan a 2005 Compass Corona 524.

• January 2021

  

  We joined the Caravan and Motorhome Club as we like that there is vast network of sites both run by the club and CLs. We also like that there is a certain standard with all of the facilities on all of their sites and you know what you are getting from the site.

• September 2021

  We sold our Compass Corona 524 caravan and ordered a Elddis Affinity 550 from Robinson Caravans (delivery due Nov/Dec 2021) during the Erwin Hymer Group open weekend at their UK factory in Consett, County Durham.

• August 2022

  Due to the ongoing delay with the delivery of our new caravan, Robinson’s Caravans kindly loaned us a Swift Challenger Sport so that we could have a summer break.

• January 2023

  

  Our Elddis Affinity 550 is finally built and ready for collection from Robinson’s Caravans Chesterfield.

• July 2023

  

  We joined English Heritage, which gives us even more places to explore when on our travels.
